Connected IoT Product Manager
Job Description
RVLock & CO, LLC is seeking a Connected IoT Product Manager to own the end-to-end health of its integrated platform that spans hardware, firmware, cloud services, mobile apps, and IoT infrastructure. In this role you will act as the operational owner, coordinating across hardware, software, cloud systems, customer support, and international partners to ensure a dependable customer experience and scalable product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the operational performance of RVLock’s connected product ecosystem
- Ensure reliable operation of cloud services, mobile apps, firmware, and connected devices
- Monitor platform reliability, uptime, scalability, and customer experience
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and customer service to improve hardware, firmware, software, and cloud systems
- Coordinate cloud infrastructure management with contracted development partners
- Monitor API performance, databases, backups, and overall system health
- Coordinate iOS and Android app releases
- Prioritize bug fixes, feature enhancements, and release readiness
- Manage App Store and Google Play submissions and monitor feedback
- Monitor deployed gateways, locks, cameras, sensors, and other connected devices
- Track connectivity, reliability, and recurring field issues
- Coordinate OTA firmware deployments, testing, rollback procedures, and release validation
- Manage beta testing and deployment verification processes
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex connected-product issues
- Work closely with Technical Support, Product Development, and Engineering teams
- Analyze logs, diagnostics, and system data to identify root causes
- Coordinate corrective actions with development partners and vendors
- Act as RVLock’s primary technical liaison with firmware, cloud, app, and hardware development partners
- Coordinate schedules, deliverables, issue resolution, and development priorities
- Participate in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and product improvement initiatives
- Coordinate security assessments and vulnerability monitoring
- Oversee authentication, encryption, certificates, and incident response readiness
- Help ensure platform reliability and long-term scalability
- Maintain release documentation, troubleshooting procedures, setup guides, and internal knowledge bases
- Track KPIs including uptime, active devices, subscriptions, return rates, and customer trends
- Provide ongoing reporting and recommendations to leadership
Requirements
- Experience managing connected products, IoT platforms, SaaS systems, mobile apps, or technical operations
- Strong troubleshooting and systems-thinking abilities
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and outside vendors
- Familiarity with cloud systems, firmware releases, mobile applications, APIs, and connected devices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and stay calm under pressure
- Experience with hardware/software integration preferred
- Experience working with overseas development teams strongly preferred

Work Environment & Expectations
This role involves close collaboration with international development and manufacturing partners, including teams in China. As a result, some non-traditional work hours may be required to coordinate time zones, support product launches, troubleshoot, and respond to urgent technical escalations.

Pay
Salary: $62,699.25–$75,508.77 per year
