Job Description
Data Analyst – Product Owner at State Farm leads end-to-end testing solutions within the Property and Casualty Auto/Fire Test Enablement Innovation Team, emphasizing GenAI/AI, cloud and platform engineering, with opportunities to lead small development teams in a hybrid Richardson, TX setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test automated solutions for various testing modalities.
- Continuously expand knowledge in the data field and related tools to tackle diverse assignments and product initiatives.
- Collect and analyze stakeholder information to identify technical needs, propose solutions, and craft implementation and integration plans, including technical proposals.
- Build business domain understanding of State Farm data sources and pursue acquisition of internal and external data resources as needed.
- Oversee the analysis, design, deployment, support, and security of technology to ensure efficient management of data assets in line with regulations and industry best practices.
- Apply DevOps and Agile thinking as the team stewards a product from inception to sunset, fostering a growth mindset.
- Develop and evaluate functional specifications and collaborate with engineers to implement technology solutions.
- Assist the product leader in defining user stories and own non-development stories.
- Collaborate with the product team and stakeholders to understand, document, and communicate requirements aligned with the product objective, vision, and strategy; measure success by outcomes and value delivery.
- Provide product and process knowledge to support design, development, testing, and execution of solutions.
- Ensure work complies with enterprise policies and standards within the domain of responsibility.
- Perform user acceptance testing, including end-user, performance, and business user testing, and contribute to test automation efforts.
- Identify, manage, and facilitate resolution of risks, issues, and defects.
- Offer problem-resolution support and guidance to business and department partners.
Requirements
- Preferably experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
- AI and machine learning experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform Enterprise.
- Hands-on experience with Karate, SoapUI, Postman, JMeter, Artillery, Gatling tools.
- Experience automating scripts.
- Experience building GitLab CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
- Comfortable working with onsite and offshore delivery models.
