Digital Product Owner
Job Description
The Digital Product Owner owns the mobile app product direction and delivery process, connecting business strategy and customer needs to technology execution. The role defines the roadmap and backlog, manages release readiness, and runs a structured customer feedback and beta program to improve adoption, engagement, retention, productivity, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the mobile app product vision, translating company priorities into roadmap themes and measurable outcomes.
- Assess product opportunities using customer value, business impact, development effort, and strategic alignment, balancing near-term delivery with long-term direction.
- Serve as a primary advocate for mobile app users, including Brand Partners, Customers, field leaders, and internal teams.
- Collect feedback through customer conversations, stakeholder interviews, support trends, surveys, and analytics.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Compliance, Operations, Analytics, Design, and Engineering, representing customer needs during priority and trade-off discussions.
- Own and maintain the mobile app product roadmap and prioritized backlog.
- Translate roadmap priorities into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready work.
- Support backlog refinement and sprint planning, including scope trade-off discussions aligned to team capacity and business urgency.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, quality assurance, analytics, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Clarify requirements, remove ambiguity, and make timely decisions during development cycles.
- Ensure delivered features meet business intent, customer expectations, and quality standards.
- Own the beta program, including tester recruitment, cohort selection, onboarding, and communication cadence.
- Define beta entry and exit criteria, test scenarios, feedback channels, and lead triage of findings with engineering, design, and quality assurance.
- Manage release readiness through app store submissions, staged rollouts, feature flags, and rollback plans.
- Coordinate launch communication with business and field teams, and monitor post-release stability, adoption, and feedback.
- Improve the end-to-end mobile app experience across onboarding, content discovery, notifications, messaging, account insights, business tracking, recognition, events, and AI-enabled support.
- Drive improvements in adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction across key audiences and markets.
- Partner with design and analytics to identify friction points, prioritize enhancements, and define how the mobile app fits into the broader digital ecosystem.
- Define success metrics for major features and product initiatives.
- Use analytics, customer feedback, support data, and business results to guide prioritization and measure adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Create recommendations based on evidence rather than opinion alone.
- Identify practical opportunities for AI, automation, personalization, and data-driven experiences within the mobile app.
- Evaluate new ideas using customer value, feasibility, business impact, and operational readiness.
- Partner with technology and analytics teams to test and launch useful digital capabilities.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in digital products, product management, or a related field.
- Foundation in product ownership.
