ERP Product Owner/Program Manager
Job Description
The City of Peoria is hiring an experienced, hands-on ERP Product Owner/Program Manager to manage the city’s Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform and lead a small systems team. This onsite role (Peoria, AZ) blends product leadership with practical ERP work, helping ensure Workday supports the City Manager department’s strategic priorities.
You will own the ERP product roadmap, drive continuous optimization, and act as a liaison between business operations and technology. You’ll also guide a team of three analysts who support departments across the organization, helping deliver reliable system functionality, reporting, integrations, upgrades, and timely resolution of issues.
Responsibilities
- Own the Workday platform product roadmap and lead ongoing optimization, including system configuration, security, integrations, reporting, and upgrades.
- Provide break/fix support and help implement future Workday modules.
- Serve as a key liaison between technology and business operations, translating organizational needs into practical system solutions aligned to City goals.
- Lead and support a small, capable systems team of three analysts who provide system support and assistance to departments.
- Guide ERP Analysts to success through hands-on problem solving and direction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, develop reports, support upgrades and enhancements, and assist with ERP functionality and configuration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Change Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in system administration, configuration, or business system analysis.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisor or leadership role.
- Experience with Workday, specifically HCM, Payroll, and Financials.
- Experience in a municipal or government setting.
- Experience with ERP/IT governance and change-control processes.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams where functional resources do not directly report to the position.
- Experience managing ERP vendors, consultants, contacts, or external support resources.
- Experience with ERP implementation, stabilization, optimization, or major system transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing ERP programs and projects.
Compensation and Details
- Location: Peoria, AZ (onsite)
- Salary: USD 101,956 - 150,896 per year
- Salary range: Min $101,956.75 / Mid $126,426.58 / Max $150,896.40
- Department: City Manager
- Reports to: Deputy City Manager
