Manager, Data & Analytics Product Owner
Job Description
Own the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands’ North America data and analytics platform to connect business needs with technology and improve decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own the data and analytics strategy, roadmap, and priority setting aligned to corporate business objectives and functional needs.
- Act as the business Product Owner, leading requirements definition, prioritization, and backlog management while partnering with IT and functional teams to deliver new capabilities.
- Drive data quality, governance, and platform reliability with IT and functional report owners; investigate root causes and resolve data integrity and ingestion issues while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to spot high-value analytics opportunities, define requirements, and develop or enhance Power BI dashboards and analytical capabilities.
- Lead user adoption and analytics capability building through onboarding, training, communications, and establishing a network of Power BI Super Users.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and emerging analytics capabilities to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and enhance user experience.
- Own business governance for platform access, security, and permissions, partnering with IT and functional leaders to ensure appropriate access and protection of sensitive data.
- Establish and track key product metrics to measure adoption, usage, data quality, user satisfaction, and business impact, using insights to continuously improve the analytics portfolio.
- Apply working knowledge of modern data architecture concepts including data models, data pipelines/integration, APIs, cloud data platforms, and semantic models; effectively partner with data engineering and IT teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in data & analytics, business intelligence, analytics product management, commercial analytics, or a related business-facing function.
- Demonstrated experience owning data or analytics products end-to-end from business requirements through delivery and adoption.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
Preferred Experiences and Skills
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, retail, commercial analytics, or customer-facing analytics, with understanding of Sales, Marketing, and/or Supply Chain business processes.
- Ability to translate business needs into data, reporting, or analytical solutions and partner effectively with technical/IT teams.
- Familiarity with multiple business data sources such as retailer POS, syndicated data, ERP/SAP, demand planning, trade promotion, marketing/media, and customer inventory/forecast data.
- Strong understanding of Power BI (or comparable BI/visualization platforms) and translating analytical needs into effective reporting.
- Experience with data governance, data quality management, and data integration.
- Demonstrated product ownership/project leadership including prioritization, Agile ways of working, backlog management, and cross-functional delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, executive presentation, and storytelling skills to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Influencing and change-management capability, including driving adoption and capability building without direct authority.
- Experience leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance business intelligence, automate analytical workflows, and improve decision-making.

Job Details
- Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid)
- Salary: USD 160,570 - 210,748 per year (expected base salary range)
- Work schedule: Full-Time, regular business hours; Monday-Friday office work environment
- Domestic travel: up to 10%
- Remote work: available once a week after 90-day onboarding period
- Relocation: eligible for domestic relocation
- Depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives
