Product Design Coordinator
Job Description
The Product Design Coordinator role at GLDN is an onsite position based in La Conner, Washington. This position supports end-to-end jewelry product development from concept to launch, coordinating samples, vendor timelines, data tracking, and digital assets while collaborating across Product, Brand, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Operations. The role offers an hourly rate of USD 25 - 35 and requires a Bachelor’s degree.
Role Overview
GLDN is seeking a detail-oriented coordinator to help shepherd jewelry concepts through development and market readiness. The role focuses on maintaining development calendars, managing samples and assets, and coordinating cross-functional inputs to keep projects moving smoothly from idea to launch.
Responsibilities
- Monitor new product initiatives from concept through market introduction, keeping milestones on track with tools such as Figma, Google Sheets, and Asana.
- Assist the Product Team in building new jewelry lines and product extensions.
- Coordinate communications with vendors, manage sample requests, and oversee development timelines.
- Maintain development tools, calendars, and documentation to sustain project momentum.
- Review vendor quotes and cost data, supporting margin analysis for new product opportunities.
- Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities.
- Produce weekly reports on top sellers, launches, customer favorites, and inventory opportunities.
- Compile feedback from Customer Service, Ecommerce, and Social channels to inform future product decisions.
- Leverage AI and analytics to surface recurring customer themes and product opportunities.
- Support the digital foundation of GLDN’s product development process across Figma, Asana, Google Sheets, and related tools.
- Keep product swatch libraries, renderings, and development assets current and accessible.
- Assist with launch readiness by tracking key dates, product information, estimated ship dates (ETS), and estimated arrival dates (ETA).
- Ensure product information, digital assets, and launch documentation remain organized and accurate across teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Brand, and Ecommerce teams to maintain aligned assets throughout development and launch.
- Foster an organized and productive product design workspace that supports collaboration.
- Oversee the product sample library, keeping samples, prototypes, and work-in-progress items organized and accessible.
- Prepare materials and samples for design reviews, collection planning meetings, and development sessions as needed.
- Catalog, store, and return development pieces, samples, and reference products to inventory when appropriate.
- Contribute to a creative environment that encourages collaboration, experimentation, and innovation in product design.
- Coordinate with vendors as necessary to support development needs.
- Prepare products for photoshoots, campaigns, and launches.
- Coordinate sample selection, sizing, and product readiness.
- Support styling, organization, and day-of logistics during photoshoots.
- Maintain accurate product assets and creative documentation.
- Prepare products for photoshoots by sourcing correct pieces, verifying condition and size, and locating items via the Sample Library, Customer Returns, or vendor orders; escalate as needed to ensure samples are ready.
- Support photoshoot execution by keeping product organized, managing wardrobe, steaming items, and assisting with day-of logistics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Jewelry Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in product, design, merchandising, fashion, retail, ecommerce, or a creative environment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in jewelry, fashion, design, and consumer products.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace; experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other product development tools is a plus.
- Jewelry industry experience is not required; curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn are valued.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, creative, product-driven environment.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to report onsite in La Conner, WA as required.
- Familiarity with jewelry, product development, or ecommerce is a plus.
