Product Manager
Job Description
Stonewood Products invites a hands-on Product Manager to own the stone and outdoor living product categories. This onsite role in Harwich, MA offers a salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 per year and relocation assistance to support your transition. You will lead sourcing, supplier relationships, cost strategy, and new product development while guiding category direction and expanding into design-build, architectural, and luxury residential markets.

Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong, ongoing relationships with key vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers
- Lead pricing negotiations, lead times, exclusivity opportunities, and long-term contracts
- Conduct supplier evaluations, site visits, and quality reviews
- Identify emerging suppliers, material innovations, and new technologies
- Define the category strategy to assemble a competitive, profitable assortment
- Direct product selection, category mix, costing strategy, forecasting, and inventory planning
- Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, material innovations, and competitor activity
- Manage the SKU lifecycle from introductions through discontinuations and optimization
- Lead development of new collections and product expansions
- Collaborate with marketing on storytelling, merchandising, packaging, and sampling
- Ensure Stonewood Products maintains premium positioning and differentiation
- Identify exclusive partnerships to strengthen brand identity
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans targeting builders, designers, architects, and specifiers
- Work closely with sales to provide product knowledge, competitive insights, and training
- Support local market penetration and expansion into new regions with targeted strategies
- Partner with operations on supply chain performance, forecasting, and inventory flow
- Collaborate with finance to manage margins, costing models, and budgets
- Align with marketing on product launches, campaigns, and sample development
- Provide leadership updates with category insights, supplier strategy, and growth opportunities
Requirements
- Proven track record in product sourcing, buying, or category management
- Strong relationships or familiarity with flooring mills and manufacturers, domestic or international
- Excellent negotiation skills with deep experience in cost modeling and margin strategy
- Ability to translate market insights into actionable product and assortment plans
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Results-driven and financially astute
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Change management skills
- Flexible, creative, and able to work in a developing, non-structured environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
