Product Manager
Job Description
Bell Laboratories Inc is seeking a Product Manager to lead product execution for new product initiatives from approval through launch. Based in Windsor, WI, this onsite role coordinates packaging, labeling and registrations, and the sales and marketing support needed to bring products to market effectively. The position also includes ongoing stewardship for products, digital content for Bell & Bell Sensing websites, and divisional trademark compliance.
What you will do
- Drive the product execution process for all confirmed new product initiatives from approval to launch, including confirming package sizes, establishing product codes and part numbers, releasing and distributing product ECOs, and updating price lists and packaging development.
- Partner with registrations to ensure package labeling meets requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of packaging.
- Work proactively with purchasing to support efficient, responsible, cost-effective packaging development and transition plans for both existing and new products.
- Collaborate with Bell Marketing and Sales to develop collateral materials, working with graphic artists, sales managers, and outside customers as needed to complete deliverables.
- Manage collateral development for new product introductions and for updates or enhancements to existing materials, including coordination and distribution of price list updates.
- Monitor inventory levels and, in coordination with purchasing or Dunlop, determine economic order quantities for new materials when necessary.
- Attend divisional sales meetings.
- Attend regional trade shows and training events as necessary, gathering intelligence to support product and sales efforts.
- Coordinate with the Vice President of Marketing and the Sales team to develop and implement promotional marketing programs aligned to sales objectives.
- Coordinate and vet advertising campaigns supporting new product introductions, product initiatives, and other objectives.
- Support customer-specific initiatives by developing and executing promotional materials with the Vice President of Marketing and Marketing and Sales managers.
- Assist with trade show promotional materials, displays, and related assets.
- Work with materials management and accounting to identify products that no longer meet Bell’s required performance criteria.
- Evaluate product performance and manage product life cycle to support continued sales growth through merchandising, promotional, or packaging solutions.
- Partner with the Bell Marketing team to manage the Bell & Bell Sensing websites and execute digital communications such as e-blasts and online promotional content.
- Support and manage divisional trademarks in collaboration with SVP and Vice President of Marketing.
Required qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus superior spreadsheet and database management capabilities.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to assess diverse categories of information and develop actionable plans.
- Adaptability is required.
- Proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration (MBA a plus).
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience as an associate product manager, ideally in a CPG and/or manufacturing environment.
