Product Manager
Job Description
Own product direction and roadmap execution for professional irrigation solutions and related technologies at Husqvarna in North Salt Lake, UT.
Responsibilities
- Create and own the product roadmap to support a steady flow of innovative offerings, especially for the professional irrigation market
- Develop and communicate the long-term vision, product strategy, and roadmap in light of irrigation industry trends, customer needs, water efficiency expectations, and competitive dynamics
- Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to deliver product innovation and execute professional irrigation product development
- Lead Husqvarna product expertise for assigned lines across irrigation systems, water management technologies, and field application solutions
- Run ongoing market and competitor analysis for agricultural irrigation, precision watering systems, and professional landscape irrigation markets
- Integrate learnings from internal teams and external signals such as contractor and distributor field feedback, online reviews, return data, and customer care insights to improve product performance and usability
- Drive continuous portfolio improvement by reducing complexity to enhance usability, reliability, and field performance
- Manage a designated set of products with emphasis on professional irrigation solutions and related technologies, including end-to-end product lifecycle planning:
- New product development
- Sustained product management
- End-of-life transitions
- Support company growth by delivering market-relevant innovations for irrigation professionals and distributors, aligned to top-line revenue and bottom-line profit targets
- Ensure assigned product lines have complete, accurate, and precise product data
- Maintain product expertise for assigned lines with focus on irrigation systems and water management technologies to meet the evolving needs of the professional irrigation market
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration (or equivalent industry experience)
- Ability to translate field performance needs from installers and contractors into actionable product requirements
- Familiarity with water efficiency, irrigation scheduling, smart controllers, and pumping systems (plus)
- Strong understanding of professional irrigation systems or related field-based product ecosystems is highly desirable
