Job Description

TransUnion’s Global Solutions organization, within Credit Risk Solutions (CRS), focuses on making trust possible by delivering more accurate and comprehensive information on individuals, businesses, and assets and the relationships between them. In this hybrid role, the Alternative Data Product Management team builds and evolves a portfolio of benchmarking, advisory, and data-driven solutions that help financial services organizations understand customer behavior, assess performance, and make informed decisions using alternative data and analytics.

The Product Manager, Alternative Data Solutions role manages the product lifecycle end to end, partnering across commercial, analytics, technology, legal, privacy, compliance, and product marketing to shape product strategy, support launches, and drive measurable adoption and growth across global markets.

What you’ll do

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle activities for a portfolio of data and analytics products, from opportunity identification and requirements gathering through launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Collect, synthesize, and prioritize Voice of Customer (VOC) input to identify enhancements, new capabilities, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Turn business needs and customer challenges into clear product requirements, user stories, business cases, and development priorities for technology and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with analytics, technology, legal, privacy, compliance, commercial, and product marketing teams to support development activities and maintain alignment to business objectives.
  • Guide product concepts and enhancement initiatives through governance, approval, and development processes, balancing customer value, strategic priorities, and operational considerations.
  • Support product launches by creating sales enablement materials, stakeholder communications, training assets, and go-to-market content to drive adoption and commercial success.
  • Track customer feedback, market trends, competitive activity, product performance, and business outcomes to identify optimization and growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted partner across global business teams to align stakeholders, facilitate decisions, and improve the effectiveness of product development.
  • Contribute to revenue growth by advancing product initiatives that create measurable value for customers and support business expansion objectives.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of product management or closely related experience supporting development, commercialization, enhancement, or management of products, analytics solutions, data products, or consulting offerings.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs, market insights, and business objectives into product requirements, development priorities, and actionable roadmaps.
  • Strong grasp of product management frameworks and lifecycle disciplines, including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, prioritization, go-to-market planning, and product performance management.
  • Analytical and business acumen, including experience evaluating performance, building business cases, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience working with data, analytics, benchmarking, financial services, information services, SaaS, or similarly complex environments where customer use cases must be translated into scalable solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus (equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered).

Helpful preferred experience

  • Experience in financial services, credit risk, credit card, data and analytics, benchmarking, consulting, or information services.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements management, backlog prioritization, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Background in customer-driven product innovation through VOC programs, customer feedback analysis, or market research.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for commercial and customer-facing processes.
  • Experience launching, commercializing, or supporting complex B2B data, analytics, benchmarking, or advisory products across multiple stakeholders and markets.

Location, salary, and employment details

  • Location: White Plains, NY (hybrid), with regular job responsibilities performed virtually and in-person at an assigned TU office location for at least two days per week.
  • Salary: USD $90,000 - $150,000 per year.
