Job Description

Meta is seeking a Product Manager, Central Security to treat security capabilities as products, shaping strategy and roadmaps that reduce risk across Meta’s product, identity, cryptography, detection/response, and risk/compliance areas. This role blends AI-native thinking with rigorous evaluation, structured tradeoff analysis, and cross-functional execution to deliver measurable security risk reduction.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the primary driver for identifying significant near and long-term opportunities within a large product area, translating them into a clear product mission, strategy, and roadmap aligned with broader organizational goals
  • Generate buy-in and drive consensus across organizations by bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous opportunities and executing with limited oversight
  • Continuously assess when AI is and is not the optimal solution at the portfolio level, setting expectations for rigorous tradeoff analysis
  • Turn AI capabilities into differentiated product visions that define market categories
  • Champion AI-native strategies, including comprehensive evaluations and data strategies that enable continuous improvement across the organization
  • Lead product development with teams of engineers and designers while maintaining team health
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive product mission, define requirements, coordinate resources across groups (including design and legal), develop roadmaps, and guide key milestones
  • Reimagine workflows and responsibly use AI tools to increase team velocity and capability at organizational scale
  • Promote rapid experimentation and learning practices to create a competitive advantage
  • Scale AI best practices, workflows, and artifacts so organizational capability compounds over time, including responsible AI use
  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for web-based products, applications, and platforms
  • Orchestrate complex execution across multiple organizations by combining AI automation with strategic human oversight at scale
  • Operate effectively in a fast-changing environment where processes evolve and creative solutions are expected
  • Use AI-enabled tools to build products and set the standard for PM technical capability
  • Interpret research and state-of-the-art learnings to define product strategy using rigorous logical reasoning
  • Apply expertise in system and architecture trade-offs and explain how they affect user experience and business outcomes
  • Lead strategic technical decisions with engineering leadership
  • Integrate data, usability studies, research, and market analysis into product strategies and requirements to improve user satisfaction and help engineers work more efficiently
  • Communicate complex technical ideas at the right level for different audiences (cross-functional partners, executives, engineering)
  • Align product outcomes with Meta’s mission and ensure delivery reflects strategic and competitive positioning
  • Define and analyze product metrics, track key performance indicators, and drive decisions using user insights, quantitative analysis, and A/B testing
  • Design sophisticated experiments, interpret results with AI support, and use findings to make strategic product decisions
  • Define and run evaluations (evals) to interpret model outputs at scale, establishing evaluation as a strategic capability for AI-powered experiences

Minimum qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI-enabled tools to build product artifacts at scale
  • 10+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design, and user research teams
  • 10+ years product management and/or Product Design
  • Experience developing and championing AI-native strategies across organizations
  • Experience using data analysis and structured problem-solving to inform product strategy and prioritization
  • Experience navigating the full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into requirements, prioritization, and pre- and post-launch execution
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience across information security, cyber risk, or data protection in a technical, advisory, or governance capacity
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (for example, risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience in a consumer-focused technology company
  • Track record of scaling AI best practices across organizations
  • Proven ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains and quality improvements
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (for example, prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Location: New York, NY (onsite)

Compensation: USD 205,000 - 277,000 per year
