Job Description

As part of Thomson Reuters Forward Deployed Engineering, the Product Manager leads AI-enabled product initiatives in the legal domain, guiding customer engagement and end-to-end lifecycle management from discovery through deployment. The role is based in New York, NY on a hybrid schedule, with a salary range of USD 93,000 - 194,700 per year and a requirement of roughly 4–6 years of product management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with legal stakeholders to map workflows, identify pain points, and capture operational constraints; oversee engagement execution and delivery alongside Forward Deployed Engineers; translate customer input into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and maintain backlogs across FDE engagements, ensuring strong hygiene, prioritization, and transparency. Ensure work is clearly scoped, sequenced, and tracked across discovery, build, validation, and hand-off. Support dependency management and execution planning with engineering partners.
  • Lead product work from initial intake through development, launch, and hand-off to core product teams. Ensure decisions, context, and deployment learnings are documented and reusable. Support release readiness and internal communications.
  • Identify opportunities to convert bespoke client solutions into repeatable product capabilities. Collaborate with Senior Product Managers and core product teams to decide when work should remain client-specific versus generalized.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS or integration-heavy environments.
  • Customer-facing interest or experience with legal teams, legal operations, or related enterprise workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with comfort managing complex backlogs across multiple engagements.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into clear product requirements.
