Job Description

IBT invites you to lead the Heavyweight Belt product line from a market and applications perspective in an onsite role based in Merriam, Kansas. You will plan, implement, and execute targeted marketing and sales strategies, provide high level technical support for MRO accounts, OEMs, and IBT branch offices, and maintain all facets of Heavyweight Belt products. This position coordinates Industrial Rubber Services initiatives across branch locations and helps drive the Industrial Rubber Services operating plan.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Industrial Rubber Services initiatives across all IBT branches.
  • Join branch field sales staff on joint calls to end users, MROs, and OEM accounts.
  • Deliver internal and external training programs as outlined in the Annual Operating Plan, under direction from the Director of Business Development.
  • Prepare product quotations, project proposals, applications, and engage in solution selling.
  • Identify products and drive part number sales.
  • Provide guidance on maintenance of item numbers and pricing.
  • Support setting sales targets, goals, and the execution of the Industrial Rubber Services operating plan.
  • Engage manufacturing partners regarding product specifics, problem resolution, and application support.
  • Deliver sales and technical support to branches and customers, including on-site surveys and product recommendations.
  • Promote a positive attitude toward IBT coworkers, branches, vendors and customers while promoting all IBT products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Heavyweight Belt product support, marketing, sales, and industrial distribution.
  • MSHA surface certification required.
  • Safety-first mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Strong professional communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to convey information clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
