Product Manager Identity and Access Management (IAM) Identity/Access Lead

Chicago, IL $135k - $217k/yr Full time Posted 6h ago

Job Description

Bank of America is seeking a Product Manager to lead Identity Defense and Access Management (IAM) product outcomes within Global Information Security (GIS). This role will maximize value across a scaled Agile program by setting product direction, shaping the program backlog, and aligning delivery teams, stakeholders, Privacy, and Legal.

Role Overview

You will own the program-level vision and roadmap for Identity Defense and Access products. Working in a scaled Agile model, you will define and prioritize program epics and features, refine work for upcoming quarters, and make trade-off decisions that balance emerging needs with planned initiatives. Your focus includes compliance input related to the collection and use of personal information, along with ongoing stakeholder alignment to support portfolio objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create the program vision and roadmap as an expert, grounded in customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction of the relevant business or technology domain.
  • Partner with Privacy and Legal to document legal requirements regarding how personal information is collected and used, and ensure the program meets those requirements.
  • Provide input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to existing products or creating new products to support those capabilities.
  • Communicate business value to Product Owners so product strategy and product roadmap alignment support portfolio objectives.
  • Create and prioritize features and epics in the program backlog, with authority to make decisions on trade-offs between emerging work and planned work.
  • Refine features and epics with Product Owners to ensure there is sufficient “ready” work for the next 1 to 2 quarters.
  • Review and accept features and epics, with empowerment to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams to achieve optimum value through technology and an advanced understanding of business and industry trends.
  • Mentor and guide team members to promote a collaborative and knowledgeable environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise-level product management experience, focused on IAM, Privacy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Experience working in agile methodologies and a track record of driving successful transformation through product management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement across all levels, including communicating product vision, strategy, progress, and gathering feedback to improve capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to use data to communicate change accurately.

Desired Qualifications

  • Planful: Thoughtful setting, proactive management, and predictable delivery of commitments through strategy, process, communication, and delivery.
  • Ownership: Full responsibility for delivery outcomes, with a “buck stops here” approach and collaborative issue resolution.
  • Connected: Clear understanding of how your work connects with others toward a common goal.
  • Consistency: Drive adoption of logical, efficient, and sustainable processes and tools to support predictable results.
  • Accuracy: Deliver business value within defined tolerances across measurable parameters including scope, schedule, and cost, aligned with key stakeholders and control partners.
