Job Description

This Product Manager II role at News Corp focuses on driving the rollout of enhancements and new products and features for Barron’s. The position is on-site in New York, NY.

Location

New York, NY (onsite)

Compensation

USD 130,000 - 150,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across teams to define and prioritize business and editorial requirements for new products and enhancements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish a go-to-market plan for new offerings.
  • Collaborate to optimize Barron’s subscriber offerings and envision new premium features.
  • Author product requirements for new features and enhancements.
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria for features, tasks, and bugs using JIRA.
  • Engage with research teams to gather audience insights and feedback to inform product development.
  • Work closely with software engineers and UX designers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and measure OKRs to track progress and impact.
  • Collaborate with other Dow Jones product managers to deploy shared capabilities.
  • Partner with editors to ensure they have the publishing tools necessary for content delivery.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align roadmaps, set timelines, and coordinate launches.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospective meetings.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of product management experience.
  • Experience developing and launching digital subscription products, preferably paid content.
  • Passion and knowledge of digital media and investing.
  • Strong analytical skills with familiarity in web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Parsely, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research to inform product requirements.
  • Experience defining and implementing product requirements for consumer-facing websites and mobile apps.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven ability to partner with a technology organization.
  • Highly strategic while remaining detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
