Product Manager II- ODM/Server

Advantech USA is hiring a Product Manager II for the ODM/Server product team based in Tustin, CA (onsite). In this role, you will guide product direction and execution for embedded computing-related programs from early concept through launch, with a focus on planning, customer and market needs, NPI, and cross-functional delivery.

Role focus

You will lead product development and shape strategy by connecting customer requirements and market trends to specifications, roadmaps, business cases, and actionable plans. This is a hands-on product management position that includes NPI oversight, portfolio monitoring, and commercial ownership to support profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team within Product Development, setting development goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing feedback.
• Define and implement product management best practices for the team, including NPI processes, requirements, and documentation standards.
• Convert customer and market needs into product specifications, roadmap priorities, business cases, and development plans.
• Track market and competitive trends in embedded computing, including Medical or Industrial Equipment markets, to identify growth opportunities and inform product strategy.
• Partner with senior leadership to define ODM strategy and guide product and technology roadmaps aligned with global product teams.
• Set direction on feature prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio management to support growth and maximize product value.
• Oversee end-to-end product development (NPI) from concept through launch, ensuring quality standards and timelines are met.
• Own product cost, pricing, margin, and commercial terms, including evaluating NRE, recurring cost, tooling, logistics, warranty, and risk.
• Review and provide feedback on product requirements, technical specifications, and documentation produced by the team.
• Monitor progress across the portfolio, identify risks, and resolve escalations to prevent delays.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales on goals, priorities, and timelines.
• Guide market research on customer needs, trends, and competitive dynamics to support product vision and strategy.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product management role within technology, embedded computing, server, or related hardware industries.
• 4+ years of experience managing manufacturing partners across multiple regions and coordinating cross-functional activities tied to product quality, schedule, cost, and delivery.
• Proven experience launching and managing hardware products from concept through delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of product planning, market analysis, and roadmap development in embedded computing, server, or related hardware technology.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and using project management tools.
• Experience translating data and market insights into product and business decisions.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• Experience in ODM, OEM, or JDM product environments.
• Experience with embedded computing, server computing, or related hardware technologies.
• Experience supporting products for Medical, Industrial Equipment, or other specialized technology markets.
