Responsibilities
- Oversee the purchase and management of hardgood product lines, focusing on gifts, textiles and bags, or tools.
- Perform market research to identify conditions, price trends, and future opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Logomark's product lines and those of competitors.
- Monitor market dynamics and industry trends to inform product decisions.
- Assess retail trends and their potential impact on product offerings.
- Prepare competitor analyses to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and market position.
- Develop product ranges that meet quality standards, offer competitive pricing, and exceed user expectations.
- Leverage overseas buying experience to source products and negotiate with suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
- Collaborate with the catalog team to select and present products for inclusion in Logomark's catalog.
- Occasionally travel overseas and domestically for sourcing, supplier visits, and industry events.
- Stay informed about innovations and emerging trends in gifts, textiles and bags, or tools industries.
- Maintain effective communication and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing and production.
- Identify opportunities to expand or diversify product lines based on market research and customer needs.
- Continuously analyze product performance, marketing strategies, and promotions to inform data-driven recommendations for improvements or discontinuations.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of product buying experience in the retail or promotional industry.
- Extensive knowledge of gifts, textiles and bags, or tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Excel; advanced skills are preferred.
- Proven ability to exceed expectations and maintain a positive attitude.
