Job Description

This Product Manager role leads Hippocratic AI’s Payor/Provider Orchestrators vertical, with responsibility for how the platform demonstrates and delivers value in the payor and provider market. The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and works closely with Engineering, clinical safety, and customer-facing go-to-market teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize high-value use cases, such as Star Ratings improvement, prior authorization support, and proactive care coordination, to form the foundation of the long-term roadmap.
  • Set the vertical’s north star metrics and translate them into a roadmap Engineering and clinical or operations teams can execute.
  • Choose which segments and workflows to pursue first based on what is currently blocking adoption and expansion, rather than following a generic feature backlog.
  • Act as the primary product partner for payor executives, providers, and health system stakeholders, translating regulatory constraints such as NCQA/HEDIS and clinical or operational requirements into product requirements.
  • Participate directly in customer conversations to represent product data and ROI, rather than relying on secondhand updates.
  • Conduct discovery to uncover the pain points worth solving, including issues that customers may not raise immediately.
  • Convert customer needs into clear technical specifications and collaborate with Engineering to ship, including making sequencing decisions when priorities conflict.
  • Partner with the clinical safety team to ensure each voice interaction meets Hippocratic AI safety standards before it reaches members.
  • Own the transition of use cases from pilot to production, determining when each offering is ready to scale.
  • Develop value propositions, ROI models, and case studies that Sales and Marketing can use to close deals.
  • Increase product depth in this vertical and share that context with the parallel PM as go-to-market efforts expand across both sides of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including substantial experience within the health insurance/payor ecosystem or health tech serving providers or health systems, rather than adjacent enterprise SaaS.
  • Proven ability to build product workflows that tie to demonstrable ROI or measurable value, not just feature delivery.
  • Experience partnering directly with Engineering to ship product outcomes, not only writing requirements.
  • Comfort engaging in customer conversations and translating insights into product decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Working understanding of LLM and speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities and limitations.
