Product Operations Manager
Job Description
In this role, you will own and evolve the operating model for a product organization focused on internal tools and workflows. You will connect a small, high-impact product team with internal customers, helping reduce friction across intake, planning, documentation, communication, and adoption through data-driven and AI-enabled practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the product organization operating model, covering intake, planning, documentation, and communication practices
- Build and deepen relationships with internal customers, acting as a trusted partner who understands needs before issues escalate
- Design and implement tools, automations, and workflows to improve team effectiveness and reduce operational friction across product, design, and engineering
- Drive consistency in how requests, decisions, and updates are captured and shared, ensuring documentation remains current, findable, and actively used
- Develop communication and enablement channels that reduce silos and keep stakeholders informed on plans, shipping activity, and rationale
- Measure adoption and engagement across internal tools and processes, using data to guide decisions and demonstrate impact
- Apply AI tools to improve your productivity and to create AI-enabled workflows that extend the capabilities of systems you manage
- Translate ambiguous operational needs into lightweight, scalable solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, design, and business
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product, technical writing, or engineering experience
- Experience improving team processes, workflows, or operating models within a large, complex organization
- Proven ability to build trust and relationships across product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders
- Experience creating and managing documentation, operational processes, and internal communications at scale
- Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-functional problems
- Ability to manage a wide range of requests, from highly specific to broadly strategic, with consistent rigor and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience applying AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, writing, analysis, and decision-making, including building AI-enabled workflows for others
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms, documentation systems, and collaboration tooling, with judgment for when lightweight fixes are preferable to platform investment
- Comfort using product analytics and usage metrics, including adoption and engagement data, to evaluate operational impact
- Experience supporting internal platform or product-enablement teams in a large enterprise environment
- Systems thinking mindset with exposure to CRM-style tooling, intake management, and roadmapping practices
