Product Operations Rating Analyst

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company supports product and pricing innovation through deep expertise in insurance technology. In this hybrid role in Amelia, OH, you will provide technical support and Earnix and Guidewire knowledge to help power policy administration, pricing, and product strategy. What you’ll do

• Design, analyze, configure, and test rating system configuration for documented use cases under established processes and governance.
• Configure rates, calculated fields, and the data used for Guidewire integration.
• Create rate filings within the technical system, partnering with functional areas to ensure proper performance and configuration.
• Review Earnix configuration for accuracy and completeness, then adjust based on project needs and review-specific requirements.
• Partner with Product Management on projects and reviews, providing review-specific Earnix configuration.
• Work through the product development life cycle and bridge software development activities to ensure requirements are met, with heavy involvement in analysis, design, configuration, and testing.
• Develop and execute test plans to confirm Earnix changes are successfully tested prior to utilization or formal release.
• Analyze and troubleshoot Earnix, providing technical support for application functions and maintaining documentation for technical and business reference.
• Implement filings by company, state, and policy type, and analyze requirements with technical and business management while evaluating alternative solutions within the Earnix tool.
• Research complex software problems, resolve errors tied to Earnix configuration and deployment, and escalate recurring error findings as needed.
• Use Earnix, Policy Center, and Python to lead Guidewire and Earnix product and rating configuration.
• Contribute to process and procedures documentation, including Earnix training and certifications needed for current versions.
• Serve as subject matter expertise for pricing and product strategy as it relates to Earnix functionality.
• Provide regular progress updates and surface roadblocks with managers on assigned tasks.

What you’ll bring

• Expert in Earnix Configuration
• Understanding of how rating, Guidewire, data, pricing, earning, and forms systems integrate
• Experience translating complex technical and business requirements
• Experience with rating engine software and deciphering configuration impacts based on Earnix and Python code across systems
• Experience working with a web-based policy administration environment, including user interface, integrated development environment, query tools, and rating engines
• Experience with Earnix/Radar or other comparable insurance rating systems
• Insurance knowledge
• Guidewire v10 / Cloud (or higher) Analyst Certification
• Earnix Experience
• Communication skills (verbal and written), critical thinking, problem solving, and self-management
• Ability to express complex technical concepts
• 2+ years of experience in an analytical role or analyst-type functions
• Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or business field
