Product Owner

The Product Owner will support multiple groups and assigned platforms by connecting business needs to technology capabilities, helping remove obstacles to software delivery. This role shapes product direction and ensures delivery teams have a clear, prioritized backlog aligned to agile planning.

Role Overview

In this position, you translate stakeholder needs into a product vision, strategy, features, and a prioritized backlog. You coordinate closely with delivery teams using agile product practices to keep work aligned to current and upcoming initiatives, while also maintaining transparency across what the team will address next.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and users to understand and anticipate needs, then translate those inputs into vision, strategy, features, and a prioritized backlog.
• Apply and reinforce the agile development methodology to support product work and delivery coordination.
• Create and deliver reporting and analytics that support project work and delivery.
• Act as the link between user needs, technical capabilities, and product requirements, including support for product roadmaps developed with IT Architecture.
• Lead backlog refinement with delivery teams for ongoing and future initiatives, projects, and enhancements.
• Coordinate with vendor partners as needed to plan work and ensure readiness to meet Bank-requested deliverables.
• Maintain a product backlog that is visible, transparent, and clear, reflecting what the delivery team will work on next.
• Participate in team meetings related to product sprints.
• Remove product-level impediments and implement process changes that support higher quality software delivery.
• Negotiate and build consensus on trade-offs between features, quality, and delivery dates to arrive at the best solution for the Bank.
• Ensure business leadership is informed of key issues and changes, and provide appropriate information and recommendations to address them.
• Collaborate with Architects, Tech Leads, and Developers to identify non-functional requirements.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and delivery team members to identify test cases for manual and automated testing, and help coordinate review and updates to the regression test suite.
• Coordinate with business users to conduct product user acceptance testing (UAT).

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent job experience.
• 1-3 years of experience managing product backlogs, overseeing product and technology roadmaps, or creating product and technology roadmaps.
• Experience delivering products using agile methodology.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High organization with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Results-oriented and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of data analytics experience.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $102,210.00 - $121,374.00
