Product Owner, Asset Management
Job Description
Luma Financial Technologies is expanding into asset management and is seeking a Product Owner, Asset Management to lead product delivery for ETF, Actively Managed Certificate (AMC), Separately Managed Account (SMA), and related product types, alongside the integrations that support them across Luma’s platform.
Role Overview
In this onsite role in Cincinnati, OH 45202, you will own end-to-end delivery for asset management capabilities across Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace, including data connectivity with ETF ecosystem partners such as DTCC and custodians. You will collaborate with Engineering and external clients or partners to translate asset management workflows into requirements and drive releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution of Luma’s AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) across discovery, design, development, QA, release, and post-launch evaluation for asset management capabilities.
- Use the AI-DLC process as the standard delivery methodology for Luma Product Owners, supporting accelerated discovery, requirements drafting, and delivery.
- Translate complex asset management workflows into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage multiple high-priority initiatives across Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace, maintaining on-track delivery through planning and active communication.
- Demonstrate flexibility and real-time reprioritization as new constraints, information, or business needs emerge.
- Work with Engineering to guide sprint planning, backlog refinement, and milestone management.
- Manage client and partner relationships across requirements, design, test, and launch phases.
- Act as the central liaison between business teams and Engineering to ensure priority alignment and clarity of requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Trading, Operations, Asset Managers, ETF Providers, Custodians, Legal/Compliance, and Client Success to refine workflows and validate solutions.
- Communicate evolving priorities clearly and adjust plans based on market conditions and stakeholder needs.
- Provide regular updates covering progress, risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
- Apply AI alongside delivery practices and tooling, including AI design tools, Jira’s AI-enabled backlog, and related emerging technologies to accelerate discovery, documentation, and execution.
- Use AI to generate wireframes, user flows, test cases, release notes, and dependency analysis.
- Identify additional tools that improve efficiency, reduce manual steps, and support scalable product operations.
- Apply subject-matter expertise to ensure Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace reflect real-world ETF, AMC, and SMA workflows and market practices.
- Own understanding and execution support for the lifecycle of ETF, AMC, SMA, including lifecycle events such as rebalancing and secondary-market considerations.
- Own the roadmap for data connectivity with ETF providers, DTCC, custodians, and other market participants to ensure accurate and timely data flow into the platform.
- Represent workflow perspectives of asset managers, ETF providers, custodians, distributors, and operations teams.
- Partner with UX and design teams to ensure features support clean, intuitive, and compliant workflows.
- Conduct UAT, support QA feedback loops, and validate feature readiness for deployment.
- Improve dashboarding and reporting, as well as workflow efficiency across asset manager and provider interfaces.
- Collaborate with Client Success to prioritize and resolve support issues with clear SLAs.
- Develop product documentation, process materials, and release communications, ensuring smooth adoption through training and stakeholder enablement.
- Work across product lines to support unified standards, shared components, and scalable system design.
- Identify upstream and downstream dependencies, especially across data connectivity with market participants, and proactively communicate their impact.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with ETF, AMC, SMA, or similarly related products or asset management domains.
- Experience at a fintech platform, an Asset Management Company (for example, Invesco, BlackRock, or similar), a custodian, or a related institution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives with strong execution discipline.
- Strong agility and adaptability, including the ability to reprioritize quickly.
- Skilled in AI-DLC execution, with a proven track record delivering complex software capabilities using modern, AI-enabled delivery methods.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to rapidly deliver prototypes and requirements test scenarios.
- Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional leadership, including directing client and partner engagements with little oversight.
- Experience with Jira, Figma, Anthropic, OpenAI, and willingness to adopt new AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Experience working with ETF providers, custodians, DTCC, or other related market participants.
- Understanding of ETF, AMC, SMA lifecycle processes, data connectivity, and compliance considerations.
- Background working in modular or multi-team product environments, such as Lifecycle Manager and Product Marketplace.
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.

AI Tools and Prototyping Expectations
Ability to use AI-driven tools such as Claude Code, Cowork, and Draw to quickly create prototypes that can be used for demonstrations, requirements refinement, and test considerations is a key requirement.
Compensation
- $130,000 - $170,000 USD per year (New York)
- $105,000 - $140,000 USD per year (Cincinnati)
