Product Owner - Production Scheduling

The Clorox Company is hiring a Product Owner for Production Scheduling to lead production scheduling capabilities, processes, and enabling technology across its manufacturing operations. This hybrid role in Alpharetta, GA connects scheduling and manufacturing needs to scalable solutions, driving a roadmap and continuous improvement efforts that help teams plan and execute more effectively.

What you’ll do

• Own the Production Scheduling product backlog, translating business requirements, manufacturing challenges, and improvement opportunities into prioritized system enhancements and capabilities.
• Lead technology capability development, with a focus on SAP S/4 HANA embedded PP/DS and how it integrates with Clorox’s broader planning and manufacturing ecosystem.
• Advance finite and optimized scheduling so schedulers can convert supply requirements into executable schedules that account for customer service, inventory, manufacturing constraints, and changeover efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying process and system gaps, supporting or conducting root-cause analysis, and partnering through solution design, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Partner across Supply Chain and Manufacturing, collaborating with MSM leaders, production schedulers, material planners, IBP/Supply Planning, Operations, Logistics, Quality, and technology teams.
• Improve scheduling master-data and system effectiveness, ensuring solutions use the capacity, routings, work centers, downtime, and other necessary details to produce executable schedules.
• Establish and monitor measures for scheduling technology and capabilities, using KPIs and operational insights to steer product priorities and ongoing improvements.
• Build enterprise capability and adoption through standards, procedures, training, playbooks, Communities of Practice, and change activities so new functionality becomes sustained ways of working.

What you bring

• 6+ years of demonstrated experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, supply chain planning, or related functions.
• BS/BA degree in Supply Chain or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA embedded PP/DS, including detailed scheduling or comparable advanced scheduling technology.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling concepts, manufacturing constraints, capacity planning, and production sequencing.
• Experience working with enterprise planning, scheduling, or ERP technologies.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capability, including root-cause identification and the development of actionable solutions.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and technology organizations.
• Strong communication skills, including translating manufacturing requirements into technology needs.
• Experience leading process improvement, system enhancement, implementation, or other cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with finite scheduling, capacity leveling, production sequencing, and optimization.
• Experience with agile product ownership, including roadmaps, backlog prioritization, or technology-product delivery.
• Experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods.
• Experience using and improving Schedule Attainment or related production-execution metrics.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP, or comparable supply-chain certification.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement experience.

Compensation

USD 91,200 - 210,000 per year.
