Product Owner - Real Assets

The Product Owner for Real Assets at Alter Domus in New York (hybrid) leads the definition, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of features for the Real Assets and Private Credit platform, spanning discovery to delivery with cross functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the Real Assets product strategy and roadmap in line with business priorities.
• Develop deep expertise in Real Assets fund structures, loan lifecycle management, accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Turn business objectives and client needs into clear product initiatives and measurable success criteria.
• Coordinate roadmaps and prioritization across multiple strategic proprietary solutions within Real Assets.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to identify problems, opportunities, and improvements.
• Lead requirements definition including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Balance client driven demand with scalable, standardized platform capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Architecture in an Agile delivery environment.
• Own backlog prioritization for assigned product areas to ensure value-based delivery.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support UAT, release planning, and post-release adoption.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between Product, Technology, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Communicate roadmap progress, dependencies, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Support sales and client engagements by providing product expertise, demos, and roadmap context.
• Assist various proprietary solution leaders in aligning their roadmaps with the broader Private Credit business.
• Define and track KPIs and product performance metrics.
• Leverage client feedback, operational data, and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Stay informed on Real Assets market developments, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis, ideally within financial services or fintech.
• Strong understanding of Real Assets or related alternative investment products.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise software solutions.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery models.
• Desirable: Experience with fund administration platforms, loan servicing systems, or accounting engines.
• Desirable: Exposure to regulatory and reporting requirements within private markets.
• Desirable: Prior experience in a global, matrixed organization.
• Desirable: Background collaborating with distributed product and engineering teams.
