Product Owner - Sr.

JSR Tech Consulting seeks a Senior Product Owner on a contract-to-hire basis to lead an institutional retirement data platform. The role sits at the crossroads of business stakeholders, data engineering, and platform teams, owning the backlog and steering the vision, strategy, and roadmap for trusted data sources and data products.

Experience & Education

Bachelor's degree or higher; 10+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Define a compelling, actionable vision for the assigned Agile team and communicate it to key stakeholders, team members, and related journeys
• Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with product-level OKRs
• Continuously refine the backlog, ensuring items are clearly described, estimated, prioritized, and released within roadmap milestones
• Translate the vision into the roadmap in collaboration with data product and ADS owners
• Promote adoption of data products, governance standards, and self-service capabilities
• Collaborate with Tech Lead, Architecture, Engineering, Data Governance, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Measure and communicate outcomes through adoption, quality, operational, and business value metrics

Requirements

• Proven Product Owner experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, or platform initiatives
• Strong understanding of modern data and analytics ecosystems, including data platforms, data products, governance, metadata management, and self-service analytics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective at coordinating with team members, leadership, and multiple business partners
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data to illuminate findings and opportunities, and present insights in a meaningful, compelling way
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to manage changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
• Demonstrated servant leadership in a non-hierarchical, Agile environment
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
• Bachelor's degree or higher; 10+ years of relevant experience
