Product Owner III

What you’ll do

As Product Owner III, you will drive product vision and prioritization by turning customer requirements into clear outcomes, partnering with stakeholders, teams, and vendors to ensure delivery of high-impact improvements. You will actively deliver on commitments with minimal supervision and take initiative when problems arise.

• Analyze customer requirements and recommend system, product, and process enhancements that support innovative solutions
• Identify, evaluate, and introduce new approaches and technology to strengthen product development
• Use innovation tools and creative processes to generate ideas with diverse cross-functional experts
• Continuously improve products and services by exploring innovative ways to do the job
• Test promising ideas by exploring alternative problem framing and solution approaches
• Ask provocative questions to understand current practices and the customer experience before moving into problem solving
• Seek to understand stakeholders’ needs, concerns, and desires (internal partners, suppliers, customers) to unlock innovation opportunities
• Communicate potential benefits of new ideas and influence others in a participative, empowered environment
• Collaborate with Program/Product Managers to create and communicate product roadmap initiatives that support great customer experiences
• Lead prioritization of the product backlog in partnership with product management
• Craft high quality, customer-centric user stories with the Agile team
• Work with vendors and internal departments to define tasks, document deliverables, and meet timely commitments within SLA
• Coordinate scope across product launches to support on-time delivery of key features
• Measure product performance using key information, processes, and systems to ensure accountability for business results
• Communicate project status and production performance with leadership, internal business partners, and external vendors

What you’ll bring

• Working knowledge of risk management, loss control management, and coordinating vendor relationships
• Thorough understanding of Vision/Roadmap creation and Portfolio/Program/Team Backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization
• Proficient understanding of XML/JSON based APIs, Cloud Technologies, Service Virtualization, Test Data Management, and Data Driven Decision making
• Working knowledge of Agile/SAFe Lean enterprise concepts and best practices and how they are applied in the workplace
• Experience collaborating in a matrix organization with business stakeholders, UX teams, project managers, product managers, developers, and others
• Ability to define product roadmaps and identify requirements, and demonstrate servant leader management principles
• Ability to deliver best-in-class product experiences using Design Thinking and Lean methodologies
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and strong cross-collaboration ability at all levels
• Advanced problem-solving skills, including identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues as they arise
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient persuasive and negotiation skills, plus presentation skills
• AI tooling experience (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) including evaluating outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias, and integrating AI into workflows; familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation; understanding of responsible AI use including ethics and data protection
• 4-6 years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager on an Agile Scrum team required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Agile Certification (PSPO or CSP-PO or POPM/APM) required; Advanced Agile Certification preferred
