Job Description

Senior Product Manager responsible for defining, building, and scaling Samsara's end-to-end supply chain technology ecosystem, remote in the US (excluding SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, and DC Metro Area).

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the vision, strategy, architecture, and roadmap for planning, procurement, supplier collaboration, fulfillment, order management, logistics, and reverse logistics; guide build versus buy decisions and drive measurable business impact through technology transformation.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations, Business Technology, Engineering, Data, Finance, and external partners to modernize supply chain capabilities and enable scalable global operations.
  • Shape multi-year product vision, target-state architecture, roadmap, and investment priorities for supply chain technology capabilities.
  • Lead product strategy across a portfolio of enterprise supply chain systems, balancing business outcomes, customer needs, technical feasibility, scalability, and long-term value.
  • Identify systemic operational friction and translate business challenges into scalable product, platform, automation, and AI solutions.
  • Establish success metrics, value realization frameworks, and measurable outcomes across adoption, efficiency, cost savings, and operational performance.
  • Influence senior leaders by connecting business strategy, technology capabilities, and transformation opportunities.
  • Own a functional portfolio spanning planning, procurement, order management, fulfillment, and reverse logistics.
  • Analyze current-state processes, identify root causes, and design future-state operating models and workflows.
  • Translate complex supply chain processes into scalable product capabilities, user journeys, system requirements, and integration patterns.
  • Drive modernization from fragmented tools and manual processes toward connected, intelligent supply chain platforms.
  • Ensure core platforms (ERP, planning, and analytics systems) work together to support reliable, efficient end-to-end operations.
  • Partner with business teams to redesign processes where technology, automation, and AI unlock significant operational leverage.
  • Define end-to-end application, integration, data, and platform architecture across ERP, planning, analytics, and AI ecosystems.
  • Establish scalable architecture patterns enabling reliability, extensibility, governance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Drive simplification of application landscapes, reduction of technical complexity, and creation of reusable capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for strategic advantage.
  • Identify high-value AI and automation opportunities across supply chain operations to improve productivity, decision-making, and operational agility.
  • Define and execute AI-enabled product strategies leveraging LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, MCPs, predictive analytics, and optimization models.
  • Design and scale AI-powered solutions that integrate enterprise data, business workflows, and operational systems to reduce manual effort and accelerate decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Architecture to take AI initiatives from experimentation through production deployment and measurable business impact.
  • Establish responsible AI practices covering governance, security, data quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization, and partner with engineering to deliver.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, well-documented, and aligned with governance and compliance standards.
  • Build alignment across senior leaders and cross-functional teams: Supply Chain, Business Technology, Engineering, Data, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
  • Navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems where there is no predefined solution.
  • Mentor product managers and technology partners to raise product maturity and execution standards.
  • Establish best practices around discovery, prioritization, product thinking, and outcome measurement.
  • Define and track KPIs including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, cycle time, automation rate, and cost savings.
  • Monitor system performance and business impact post-deployment.
  • Continuously refine systems and features based on data insights and stakeholder feedback.
  • Champion Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Product Management, Supply Chain, Solutions Architecture, or Digital Transformation with ownership of a functional domain or enterprise systems portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes: Design-to-Release, Forecast-to-Plan/Build, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Returns/Reverse Logistics.
  • Hands-on experience delivering enterprise systems, integrations, and process automation, including AI/ML or advanced analytics in operational contexts.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into clear technical requirements and target-state architecture.
  • Proven ability to influence and align senior, cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical global teams.
  • Strong documentation discipline, and high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
