Senior Product Manager
Job Description
AssetMark is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own a significant area of its technology platform, translating product vision into roadmap execution and measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the product: define vision, strategy, and roadmap for a major product area; decide where to invest, what to prioritize, and what not to build
- Understand problems worth solving: build deep understanding of financial advisors, their workflows, and their challenges; use customer insights, data, and business context to surface meaningful opportunities
- Shape solutions: collaborate hands-on with design and engineering to create intuitive experiences and resolve complex technical and operational issues
- Lead from idea through impact: convert opportunities into actionable plans; identify upstream and downstream dependencies; coordinate delivery across multiple teams
- Drive adoption and outcomes: stay accountable after launch for adoption, user satisfaction, and business results, with clarity on how product work contributes
- Bring people along: build strong relationships across engineering, design, sales, operations, and leadership; adjust communication for different audiences; align priorities across teams, including beyond the immediate ownership area
- Raise the bar: apply curiosity, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent work; challenge the status quo, welcome feedback, and help others improve
Requirements
- Wealth management expertise: meaningful experience in wealth management, asset management, or closely related fintech; working understanding of investment products, portfolio management, and the data/workflows that support them
- Exceptional communication and storytelling: ability to translate complex problems into clear narratives; adapt between technical and business audiences; active listening and influence across organizational levels
- Technical fluency and product judgment: hands-on experience with complex software systems, APIs, data flows, and legacy dependencies; work deeply with engineering while tying technical decisions to intuitive UX and business goals
- Progressive product ownership: 5+ years of product management experience with increasing scope and responsibility, including end-to-end ownership (strategy through delivery)
- Experience navigating organizational complexity: demonstrated ability to drive initiatives across multiple teams with competing priorities, distributed ownership, and interconnected systems, particularly in large organizations with established technology platforms
- Strong operational discipline: maintain actionable roadmaps; proactively communicate priorities and progress; anticipate dependencies; keep complex cross-functional efforts organized
- Mentorship and product leadership: experience mentoring product managers, strengthening product practices, or improving how product teams operate
- Product design and UX fluency: strong design instincts; ability to translate workflows and data into user-friendly experiences
