Senior Product Manager - Technical, Region Flexibility & Efficiency

In this role, you will lead product vision, strategy, and execution for Region Flexibility & Efficiency, helping Amazon businesses operate effectively under constrained resources while improving efficiency and scale. You will set technical direction, define success metrics, and drive alignment across teams and leadership.

Role focus

Own the long-term roadmap for Region Flexibility & Efficiency (RFE), including target architecture aimed at reducing region coupling. The work includes delivering agentic AI and headless solutions that connect tools across Amazon’s ecosystem, while improving resilience and performance across AWS regions.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Region Flexibility & Efficiency, securing alignment from engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Work backwards from customer and business needs to define requirements, and author narrative documents including PRFAQ, PRD, and product or technical specifications to guide decisions.
• Define target architecture and technical direction in partnership with principal engineers, evaluating trade-offs across latency, resiliency, cost, and complexity.
• Define and track metrics that measure product success, using data to prioritize the roadmap and make build/no-build decisions.
• Influence architectural change across thousands of teams, and communicate the product vision to audiences ranging from individual developers to senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of end to end product delivery experience
• Experience with feature delivery and product trade-offs
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and product strategy
• Experience managing technical products or online services
• Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

The Region Flexibility & Efficiency (RFE) organization drives optimization and resilience of Amazon’s global infrastructure. The team shapes how Amazon operates across AWS regions, from enabling services to run flexibly across regions to delivering petabyte-scale efficiency improvements that inform Amazon’s infrastructure investment decisions.

The RFE portfolio includes infrastructure optimization programs, multi-region capacity strategy, fleet intelligence platforms, and agentic AI capabilities designed to automate performance improvements across hundreds of engineering teams. The team supports Amazon businesses including Stores, Prime Video, Alexa, and Kindle, and partners with AWS teams to improve both internal capabilities and public offerings.

This is a small, high-leverage team where individual contributors have direct impact at the highest levels of leadership. The team values technical depth, hands-on execution, and the ability to operate across organizational boundaries, building robust, scalable solutions intended to work reliably at Amazon’s full scale.

• Salary: USD 151,200 - 204,600 per year
