Senior Product Operations Manager
Job Description
Apple’s Finance organization is hiring a Senior Product Operations Manager to lead Order to Cash (O2C) operations. Based in Cupertino, CA (onsite), you will own and evolve end-to-end O2C execution while scaling an operating model that is auditable across a global footprint.
In this role, you will work closely with Finance and partner teams to keep invoicing accurate, cash applied correctly, and audit readiness maintained across a variety of billing and invoicing structures.
What you’ll do
- Own the end-to-end O2C process, including order intake, invoicing, credit management, cash application, collections, and credits and adjustments
- Run billing operations that support multiple billing models (prepaid and postpaid) and cadences (monthly, quarterly, annual), including customer- and region-specific variations
- Convert ad hoc, per-customer handling into standardized, documented, and scalable workflows
- Partner with internal tools and systems teams to define requirements for billing tools that keep manual steps fast, accurate, and auditable, while increasing automation as processes mature
- Support revenue recognition, quarter-end close, and audit readiness in partnership with Accounting
- Help expand operations into new geographies, including local invoicing, e-invoicing, and indirect tax requirements
- Partner with Sales Finance and deal desk teams on deal structuring, billing terms, and incentive-related calculations so commercial decisions reflect operational realities
Requirements
- Proven track record building or re-architecting O2C processes in a global organization, especially in complex or ambiguous environments
- Deep knowledge of accounts receivables, credit management, invoicing, and cash application at scale
- Strong controls mindset; public accounting or audit background and a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) a plus
- Hands-on experience with SAP; familiarity with billing tools and automation a plus
- Ability to operate in high ambiguity and translate evolving requirements into durable processes
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels
Preferred qualifications
- Experience navigating cross-organizational dependencies in a large matrixed company, including how you managed interdependencies to keep initiatives on track
- Experience adapting quickly to shifting stakeholder requirements, including examples of building influence and alignment across groups with competing priorities
- Experience mediating disputes or negotiations between stakeholders and driving resolution with minimal escalation
- Experience distilling ambiguous, multi-variable problems into clear recommendations for executive audiences (for example, structured frameworks or executive summaries)
- Experience revisiting or reversing a prior decision based on new data or analysis, and owning the outcome with stakeholders
- Experience building a team from the ground up or significantly scaling an existing team, including recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring
- Experience identifying and resourcing team or project gaps proactively before they become blockers
- Experience conducting user or stakeholder research (interviews, surveys, feedback sessions) to inform product, program, or business decisions
- Track record of exceeding measurable goals or targets, with specific metrics where possible
- Experience presenting to and aligning senior stakeholders or executives on complex or ambiguous initiatives
- Experience prioritizing effectively under competing deadlines and ambiguity
- Experience coaching or mentoring team members toward individual goals, including measurable growth or promotion outcomes
- Experience developing a new strategy or approach from scratch using structured analysis to decide what to cut and what to prioritize
