Senior Product Owner, Global Workflow

This Senior Product Owner role leads T. Rowe Price’s Appian-based Global Workflow platform. You will define product vision, shape the multi-year enterprise roadmap, and direct capacity toward the highest-value opportunities, taking products from intake through value realization and ongoing optimization. The work includes platform strategy, prioritization, delivery management, and AI-enabled workflow innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, outcomes, and multi-year direction for the Appian-based Global Workflow platform, translating enterprise workflow, automation, AI, and business priorities into platform strategy and a product portfolio.
• Own the Appian roadmap and prioritize workflow opportunities, making fit and trade-off decisions based on strategic value, business impact, risk, dependencies, and capacity.
• Lead, coach, and direct Appian Product Owners and Product Analysts.
• Set product-management standards, decision rights, planning cadences, artifacts, and quality expectations, ensuring each priority has clear goals, stakeholders, backlog, adoption plan, and outcomes.
• Oversee delivery pods, align work to priorities and capacity, resolve dependencies and escalations, and hold teams accountable for scope, quality, timing, and commitments.
• Own shared Appian capabilities, enhancements, upgrades, and reusable components, partnering with Engineering and Architecture to keep the platform scalable, reliable, secure, and sustainable.
• Define success measures with business leaders, Finance, and Product Owners, monitor adoption, performance, and value, and recommend changes when outcomes fall short.
• Ensure decisions address regulatory, security, privacy, data, records, model risk, accessibility, auditability, continuity, and support needs, including readiness before release and go-live.
• Advise senior business and technology leaders, communicate direction and progress, and drive alignment across stakeholders and partners.
• Expand Appian value through AI, process intelligence, and emerging workflow capabilities by evaluating and introducing new capabilities responsibly.
• Develop and maintain a clear vision for the product family or enterprise product, including technology, competitive, and internal strategic perspectives, and establish roadmaps for assigned products.
• Through leadership of a cross-functional team, ensure products meet or exceed standards for business performance, client satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency by monitoring and analyzing metrics tied to key performance indicators.
• Develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet desired business objectives and help maximize firm investment across assigned products.
• Reallocate budget as needed to fund the highest-value initiatives.
• Partner across functions to ensure business and technical teams are staffed with top talent to sustain high-quality product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience.
• Proven experience owning or leading complex enterprise products or platforms across the full lifecycle, including strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, requirements, delivery, adoption, and value realization.
• Strong knowledge of Appian or comparable workflow platforms, including experience leading product management or product ownership for Appian in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile delivery, including roadmap and backlog management, epics and user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint/release planning, and close collaboration with engineering and delivery partners.
• Experience analyzing and redesigning complex business processes, translating business needs into scalable workflow, automation, AI-enabled workflow transformation, intelligent document processing, process intelligence, decision automation, or emerging agentic workflow capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including defining measurable outcomes and using quantitative and qualitative information to drive product decisions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including building consensus and translating complex topics into recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Experience in investment management, wealth management, financial services, or another highly regulated industry; product management or Agile certification such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent preferred.
