Responsibilities
- Serve at the core of an integrated solutions architecture and systems engineering effort, collaborating with a multi company team to shape the operational, physical, functional, and technical architectures for a evolving C2BMC capability.
- Own the architecture backlog as the product owner, prioritize capability delivery, and ensure each increment meets stakeholder expectations.
- Architect missile defense command and control and battle management systems, leveraging existing COTS/GOTS components while guaranteeing full DoD interoperability.
- Translate high level mission needs into cohesive hardware and software solutions, analyze requirements, articulate desired capabilities to developers, engineers, SMEs, and users, and produce and maintain system models, interface control documents, and functional flow diagrams.
- Design and develop new systems, modernize legacy platforms, drive the architectural roadmap, lead portions of the design effort, and support internal and external design reviews with clear written and oral technical presentations.
Requirements
- A final secret clearance is required; US citizenship is necessary for consideration.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and integrating complex command and control or battle management solutions.
- Solid foundation in systems architecture using frameworks such as DoDAF, MODAF, or TOGAF, with the ability to translate mission requirements into complete, technology ready solutions while honoring TRL constraints.
- Experience in internal and external design reviews, producing models and architectural guidelines that guide current and future development.
- Ability to manage stakeholder priorities and define acceptance criteria for each architectural release.
