Compensation & Location
- Salary: USD 130,000 - 170,000 per year
- Location: New York, NY, remote eligible
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and development for large-scale data platform solutions that support petabyte-scale analytical workloads.
- Create and govern a universal data discovery and access platform to enable enterprise-wide cross-platform data sharing.
- Lead semantic modeling and metadata management initiatives to streamline data consumption for BI and AI use cases.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, lineage tracking, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and security standards.
- Prepare data infrastructure for advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
- Drive user adoption of data platform solutions and manage monthly OKRs to measure product success.
- Leverage data and insights to guide ongoing product development, identifying efficiency opportunities and addressing customer pain points.
- Oversee the lifecycle for surfacing new features from sandbox environments and serve as the main liaison between Product Platform and Engineering DE/Platform.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, representing enterprise needs and evaluating emerging data technology solutions; coordinate discussions across data product, engineering, and vendor teams.
- Conduct thorough build-vs-buy evaluations of data platforms, tools, and services.
- Mitigate strategic risk by reducing dependency on vendor roadmaps while maintaining rapid time to market.
- Identify and pilot emerging data technologies that could offer competitive advantages.
- Define and communicate an internal platform roadmap, including agentic AI and related feature capabilities, across product and engineering teams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, scalable data strategy that aligns with NBCUniversal's diverse brand portfolio.
- Secure executive buy-in through strategic presentations and ROI analyses, while staying informed by market intelligence on data technologies and industry practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, analytics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning data or analytics products.
- Experience in media, entertainment, or advertising technology industries.
- Ability to translate complex data and measurement concepts into clear product requirements.
- Strong technical, quantitative, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with modern data platforms and technologies, including cloud data warehouses, BI tools, semantic layers, and AI.
- Working knowledge of SQL to validate data, metrics, and analytical outputs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
