Workday Product Owner

Truliant Federal Credit Union is seeking a Workday Product Owner in Winston-Salem, NC (onsite) to help shape the enterprise platform that supports teams across the organization. In this role, you’ll guide Workday’s strategic direction, roadmap, backlog, and governance, working across business and IT to prioritize platform value aligned to organizational goals.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Own and prioritize a single enterprise Workday backlog, balancing requests across multiple business functions while aligning decisions to organizational priorities.
• Partner with stakeholders to define roadmap direction, address cross-domain dependencies, and communicate platform priorities, release impacts, and trade-offs clearly.
• Support adoption, stability, and data integrity by guiding Workday features, products, and enhancements through established governance standards.
• Connect business outcomes, technical feasibility, risk, capacity, and long-term platform strategy to help Truliant get the most from Workday.
• Serve as the enterprise product owner for Workday, steering the platform’s strategic direction, roadmap, backlog, and governance.
• Work closely with business leaders, IT, domain administrators, PMO resources, and enterprise governance groups to keep Workday cohesive and well-governed while supporting current needs and preparing for what’s next.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role in an Agile or product-centric environment.
• 3+ years working with Workday in a product, platform, or governance capacity.
• Experience with enterprise system roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Experience operating within governance and decision-making structures.

You’ll also need to manage prioritization across competing needs at the enterprise level, translate business requirements into platform-level roadmap decisions and outcomes, and collaborate across business, technical, and executive stakeholders to evaluate dependencies, risk, feasibility, and capacity. Clear communication is essential for sharing priorities, roadmap updates, release impacts, and decisions.

Because Workday spans multiple areas, this role requires an enterprise mindset and familiarity with Workday architecture, cross-module data flows, SaaS product ownership models, and emerging technologies such as analytics and AI. Experience partnering across Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and IT is especially valuable, along with exposure to analytics platforms, extensibility tools, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field is required.
