Job Description

i3 (Integration Innovation, Inc.) is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO) to support the Army PEO MS Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The role focuses on Agile product ownership for engagement operations development software, including technical validation and guidance to delivery teams, with communication to leadership on status, tradeoffs, and mission impacts.

Role Focus

As the Engagement Operations Team Product Owner, you will prioritize and validate development software supporting Engagement Operations within the IFMC environment. You will collaborate closely with Program management and Agile software developers, translating mission needs into sprint-level priorities and recommended courses of action.

Responsibilities

  • Own the prioritization and validation of Engagement Operations team development software.
  • Review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and provide guidance to the development team.
  • Coordinate with Program management to set capability and defect priorities for each product increment and sprint.
  • Deliver technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, including competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics (ABET preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years combined Government/DoD experience performing duties aligned to the responsibilities above.
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts, including engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
  • Ability to provide oversight to the EO software development team and verify work against agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to work directly with Agile software developers.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.

Additional Qualifications

  • Additional plus for knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
  • Familiarity with current EO implementations in one or more DoD services.
  • Prior Product Owner experience on a Scrum team is a plus.

Location and Schedule

  • Location: Huntsville, AL (onsite).
  • Regular i3 hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Additional hours may be required on occasion.
  • Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
