Job Description

Capital One seeks an Associate in Product Operations for Flights Inventory to safeguard the health, quality, and performance of the Flights platform and inventory, with emphasis on bookability and customer experiences within Capital One Travel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the ongoing health and day-to-day performance of airline inventory and bookings systems.
  • Track bookability, response times, shopping patterns, and key operational metrics to identify issues and trends.
  • Assist with bug triage, escalation tracking, and operational investigations across booking environments.
  • Support testing, validation, and continuous QA of new features, supplier integrations, and configuration changes in staging and production environments.
  • Help manage fare mapping, supplier configurations, and multiple tenant configurations across booking platforms.
  • Support NDC integrations and supplier connectivity initiatives to enhance inventory quality and coverage.
  • Assist in maintaining the Product Ops Intake Board and coordinating incoming operational requests.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Product, Engineering, Commercial, and external providers to resolve issues and drive operational improvements.
  • Contribute to maintaining operational documentation, playbooks, workflows, and alerting processes.
  • Leverage dashboards, reporting tools, and AI-assisted technologies to surface trends, optimize workflows, and inform decisions.
  • Support stakeholders with supplier inquiries, fare discrepancies, and inventory investigations.
  • Assist with operational launches, roadmap activities, and cross-functional initiatives across Capital One Travel categories.
  • Advocate for the customer experience by identifying operational gaps and sharing actionable insights with product teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in product operations, travel operations, air supply, or technical program management
  • At least 5 years of experience in air travel and with air travel providers such as Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport, Aggregators, New Distribution Capabilities (NDC), or ARC

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Datadog, AI technology, AWS, BigQuery
  • 1+ year of experience with Google Suite
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL and data-driven decision making
  • 1+ year of experience with branded fares, ancillaries, API-based integrations, and XML or JSON protocols
  • Curiosity about automation, AI-assisted operational tooling, and process improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Solid judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in ambiguous, autonomous settings
