Business Product Manager I / II
Job Description
APS delivers digital solutions that connect business strategy with customer needs. This hybrid role helps shape product roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and use data and user insights to drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap across the organization to support alignment and guide quarterly planning.
- Manage multiple products and/or features by balancing competing priorities and ensuring customer and business value delivery.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions and prioritize features.
- Participate in exploratory research and apply active listening to understand customer needs and behaviors.
- Collaborate with customer experience teams to develop customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and process maps with a focus on usability and accessibility.
- Support user research and experimentation to validate product concepts and improve the user experience.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration for high-quality outcomes.
- Promote agile practices and rapid feedback cycles to improve delivery speed, quality, and responsiveness.
- Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship to junior product managers and product delivery teams, leading by influence across divisions.
- Partner with Technical Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure product development reflects industry trends and market needs.
Qualifications
Business Product Manager I
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Analytics, or another job-related field from an accredited college or university.
- Plus 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, and/or other job-related positions.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: combination of college coursework and/or experience totaling 7 years in product management, business analysis, and/or other job-related positions.
Business Product Manager II
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Analytics, or another job-related field from an accredited college or university.
- Plus 8 years of experience in product management, business solution development, or other job-related field.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: combination of college coursework and/or experience totaling 12 years in product management, business solution development, or other job-related field.
- Strong understanding of business operations and customer-centric design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, communicate effectively, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in training, change management, and agile methodologies.
Hybrid work details
- Hybrid employees work both virtually from home and in person with colleagues.
- Hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of time in-person at an APS (or other non-home office) location to build strong relationships and support meaningful in-person interaction.
- Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
- Working from a home office requires adequate technology and an appropriate ergonomic setup.
- Role types may change based on business need.
