In-Vehicle UX Research Assistant
Job Description
Pulse Labs AI, Inc. is hiring an In-Vehicle UX Research Assistant in Atlanta, GA for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Partner with researchers and complete ride-alongs in participant vehicles for 6–8 hours per day over 1.5 to 2 weeks.
- Support qualitative analysis by helping researchers analyze and translate data captured during the drives.
- Assist with field operations, including maintaining cameras and other equipment and uploading video files.
- Help coordinate research logistics, including assisting with scheduling drives with participants.
- Contribute to coding and data analysis for participant videos and transcripts, surveys, and other study materials.
- Collaborate with researchers to produce client deliverables such as scorecards, toplines, reports, and slide decks.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a research assistant or analyst, or in a technical support or customer support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort riding with researchers and participants in participants’ vehicles for 6–8 hours per day (breaks included).
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Hands-on experience managing field logistics and troubleshooting mobile hardware, apps, and recording devices.
- Ability to speak with strangers, put them at ease, and build rapport quickly.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify patterns during data capture and analysis.
- A strong sense of transparency, detail-orientedness, and ability to self-initiate.
- High comfort working with emerging technologies and different software systems.
- Very comfortable with Google Docs, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to foster a positive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in psychology, research methods, human computer interaction, sociology, or a related field.
- Experience in an agency or consulting environment conducting qualitative research.
