Job Description
Lead Product Manager for Cox Automotive Retail Market Data owns the end-to-end data product from acquisition and cleansing through publication and adoption.
Responsibilities
- Own the data product end to end, including cleansing, quality standards, coverage, and publication.
- Contribute to data sourcing and acquisition strategy, evaluating new data sources and expanding coverage into new markets.
- Serve as the primary authority on this data product, guiding internal teams on interpretation and usage.
- Engage with stakeholders to evaluate new use cases, identify pain points, and determine data updates that drive business value.
- Define and monitor data quality, coverage, freshness, and adoption metrics.
- Evolve the data product in response to changes in the retail vehicle selling market, aligning with dealer pricing concerns and data needs.
- Ensure product requirements are reflected in the modernization and growth roadmap, partnering with engineering and architecture on pipeline and infrastructure decisions.
- Lead product execution across two engineering delivery teams using Agile methodologies.
- Maintain a well-prioritized backlog with clearly defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to align priorities and communicate trade-offs.
- Participate in external data vendor discussions, including data quality expectations and expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with front-end product teams consuming this data to support their roadmaps.
- Work with data science and analytics teams who use the data for enterprise reporting, forecasting, and insights.
- Translate technical data product decisions into business impact for non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 6+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years of related experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Analytics, or related roles, preferably with back-end data products, data platforms, or data pipeline products.
- Proficient in writing SQL and querying data to understand product quality, coverage, and stakeholder use cases.
- Strong understanding of data products, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud data platforms.
- Comfortable participating in technical data flow and architecture discussions.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to leadership and translate technical concepts for business audiences.

Compensation
- Base salary range: USD 111,500 to 185,900 per year.
- Base pay may vary within the anticipated range based on location and candidate qualifications.
- Position may be eligible for additional compensation through an incentive program.
