Lead, Systems Engineer - NCCT Product Manager

Lead technical execution for a DoD collaborative networking product in a SAFe/ART environment, partnering closely with the Product Manager and agile leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Release Train Engineer to report to customers on agile development efforts and program status during bi-weekly sprint execution and quarterly program increment activities
• Partner with Product Owners to refine Epics so they are clearly understood and actionable for the delivery teams
• Provide technical guidance for critical system components and integrations across development and integration teams
• Identify and communicate Risk and Opportunity impacts to the program based on technical and delivery observations
• Convey technical direction aligned to program level objectives by prioritizing the backlog in support of established outcomes
• Review agile metrics with the RTE to support backlog prioritization and help predict potential schedule slippage
• Maintain visibility into team work using Scaled Agile Process tools including Confluence, Jira, PI Planning, Sprint Reviews, and customer reviews
• Support customer satisfaction and trust by delivering quarterly software packages on time and within budget
• Travel may be required to support customer objectives, up to 10%

Requirements

• Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of related experience
• Alternative education/work path: graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience
• In lieu of a degree: 13 years of prior related experience

Preferred additional skills

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across the organization, including Director-level and above
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
• SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager certification (or equivalent)
• Experience working on the NCCT program as a Product Owner
• Understanding of software development lifecycle in cloud environments, including CI/CD
• Experience acting as a Product Owner supporting multiple team compositions (e.g., Development, Systems, Platform teams)
• Advanced SAFe certification such as Agile Product Manager or SAFe Practice Consultant (or equivalent)
