Job Description

Accenture is seeking a Portal Product Owner for the Life and Annuity Business Unit in New York, NY (onsite), with a salary range of USD 87,400 to 224,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the portal platform backlog, aligning priorities with the product strategy and user needs.
  • Convert strategic roadmap items into actionable epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Work with engineering in an Agile environment to plan, refine, and deliver features through sprint cycles.
  • Map and document user journeys for key personas such as agents, policyholders, customer service representatives, and administrators.
  • Coordinate with UX and design teams to ensure UX/UI adheres to the published guidelines from product management.
  • Engage internal stakeholders, customers, and implementation teams to collect feedback and validate requirements.
  • Support integration needs with policy administration systems, CRM platforms, document management, and identity/access management solutions.
  • Contribute to sprint reviews, backlog grooming, and release planning while ensuring quality and alignment with acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • At least five years of hands-on experience in Life and Annuity domains.
  • At least three years working with policy administration systems or digital insurance platforms.
  • At least three years of experience with accessibility standards, information security practices, and modern portal architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 12 years overall); an Associate's degree requires at least 6 years of professional experience.
