Principal Product Manager, Billing and Workflows
Job Description
Steadily Insurance Agency seeks a Principal Product Manager for Billing and Workflows in Austin to own end-to-end billing and workflow initiatives designed to improve retention and financial performance. This high-ownership individual contributor role collaborates with design, engineering, operations, and executives to drive meaningful product outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle from problem discovery to solution delivery, iterating quickly based on real usage data and team feedback; balance tactical shipping with strategic milestones for the year ahead.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, and Operations to translate real-world user problems into clean, effective solutions. Deliverables will ship, be used by customers, and influence key product and business results, not remain in Jira tickets or documents.
- Prioritize work using data and business context, selecting the most impactful challenges when time is limited.
- Simplify complex workflows such as policy management, billing, and multi-party coverage changes into clear, actionable steps that drive retention.
- Design user-friendly experiences across all applications for independent agents, landlords, lenders, and internal staff.
Requirements
- Experienced: There is no fixed minimum; you can ramp quickly and balance speed with quality, making thoughtful trade-offs.
- Builder: A track record of taking ideas from inception to launch repeatedly, with a strong bias toward action.
- Stakeholder-whisperer: Synthesizes competing needs and makes informed calls, earning trust through detail orientation and follow-through.
- System-thinker: Enjoys untangling complex problems, deconstructing user flows, and identifying dependencies others may miss.
- Design-oriented: Comfortable in Figma with wireframes and mockups, and you set a high bar for what ships from a UX perspective.
- Driven: Motivated by startup environments and ready for a high-ownership role that sets both you and the company apart.
