Product Manager

Abacus Business Computer is seeking a Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of its next-generation abcPOS experiences. This onsite role in New York City sits at the intersection of product strategy, design, and engineering, requiring fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese to coordinate across teams in the US and China.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, encompassing research, planning, roadmap development, and delivery
• Shape product strategy using customer insights, market dynamics, and business objectives
• Translate the product vision into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams
• Develop product documentation such as PRDs, use cases, and analyses of business impact
• Oversee UX/UI design for POS terminals (handheld, countertop, kiosks), mobile apps, and web dashboards
• Design intuitive, user-centric experiences across hardware and software platforms
• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs with tools like Figma; familiarity with Sketch and Adobe XD
• Streamline complex workflows into efficient user journeys
• Contribute to and evolve the design system
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the United States and China
• Partner with marketing, sales, and operations to align product direction with business goals
• Coordinate with QA and support to ensure high-quality releases
• Lead product and design reviews to secure cross-functional alignment
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify new opportunities
• Define product positioning and contribute to go-to-market strategies
• Support sales enablement with product insights and materials

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in product management or product design
• Strong UX/UI design skills with proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Experience guiding products through the full development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
