Job Description

KorTerra Inc builds an 811 damage prevention platform, and this Product Manager role focuses on owning a key product area end to end. You will report to the Chief Product Officer and work closely with Engineering and go-to-market partners to turn customer discovery into strategy, measurable outcomes, and continual iteration. The position is based in Chanhassen, MN with a hybrid work setup.

Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.

What you’ll get to deliver

You’ll guide product planning that connects company goals, customer outcomes, and revenue. Your scope includes shaping the roadmap, defining success metrics, and making evidence-based decisions on what to expand, iterate, or stop after launch.

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for your product areas, aligned to business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize customer and market problems, including clear tradeoffs with Engineering, Sales, Customer Experience, and leadership.
  • Track changes in the market such as regulatory and 811 center updates, plus competitor moves.
  • Partner with the Chief Product Officer on portfolio planning and priorities.
  • Define and drive success metrics for initiatives, including adoption, retention, operational efficiency, and churn reduction.
  • Review results post-launch and decide whether to iterate, expand, or stop.
  • Provide product input on pricing, packaging, and positioning for your areas.
  • Report progress using customer and business results.

How you’ll work day to day

  • Spend regular time with the people who use KorTerra, including locators, damage prevention managers, excavators, and utility operations teams, through interviews, site visits, ride-alongs, and usage data.

  • Use AI to synthesize interview notes, support tickets, market research, and feedback to surface patterns quickly.
  • Bring customer evidence into prioritization and solution decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering to turn validated problems into clear product opportunities and solutions.
  • Write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Keep the backlog prioritized against roadmap goals, shaping upcoming work ahead of development.
  • Use AI tools to draft specs, build prototypes, and test ideas with customers before committing engineering time.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing on launches, positioning, and customer enablement.
  • Join sales calls and customer meetings as the product expert for your domain.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to internal teams and customers, aligning stakeholder expectations with delivery realities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • 4+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including ownership of a product area or major feature set.
  • Proven ability to identify meaningful customer problems, set priorities and roadmap direction, and make tradeoffs across competing needs.
  • Experience working with complex, workflow-driven software platforms.
  • Strong writing skills, including requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Regular use of AI tools in your work (research synthesis, drafting specs, data analysis, prototyping).
  • Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
