Product Manager II
Job Description
Uber is looking for a Product Manager II to shape and deliver the Rider ML roadmap, bringing personalization and discovery to rider experiences at scale. This onsite role in San Francisco, CA includes a salary range of USD 167,875 to 207,375 per year, with eligibility to participate in Uber’s bonus program and access to various benefits. Depending on the role, other types of compensation may also be offered.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Rider ML product roadmap and strategy, with a focus on personalization and discovery experiences that improve the rider journey.
- Work with machine learning engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations to surface opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver ML-powered features that feel intuitive and assistive.
- Build scalable systems that support riders booking trips when they need them most, while also surfacing personalized recommendations for future planning or unmet needs.
- Partner with other product teams to ensure ML frameworks and capabilities are used to create cohesive, delightful user experiences.
- May telecommute, based on approval and role needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related fields, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience defining product requirements using PRDs or user stories for consumer-facing mobile or web products.
- Ability to analyze product performance and user data using tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau.
- Experience running A/B testing or other product experimentation, including hypothesis definition, experiment setup, and result analysis.
- Working understanding of core machine learning concepts, including personalization, recommendation systems, or predictive modeling in consumer applications.
- Experience collaborating directly with engineers, data scientists, or designers to translate user needs into clear, actionable product specifications.
- Experience managing product development processes with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or LucidChart.
- Use of user research and customer insights to inform product decisions.
- Ability to define and track KPIs and success metrics for product performance.
