Job Description

Ashworth Bros., Inc. is seeking a Product Manager to lead the technical support and lifecycle management of plastic conveyor belt products within its Global Support organization. Based in Winchester, Virginia, this hybrid role offers remote work with up to 50% travel and requires coordinating across engineering, R&D, manufacturing, sales, and customer service to shape product strategy, pricing, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical product training to sales and customer service teams.
  • Support field sales in assessing customer needs and qualifying system applications for plastic belt solutions.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies across all product lines, ensuring alignment with market conditions, competitive positioning, and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with sales to set optimal prices for new products and revise pricing for existing offerings.
  • Assess the profitability of each product line and propose pricing actions to enhance overall profitability.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to track industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings in the plastic conveyor belt space.
  • Engage with current and prospective customers to capture needs, challenges, and product requirements across multiple markets.
  • Translate customer feedback into tangible product improvements and innovations.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the full portfolio of plastic conveyor belt products.
  • Analyze market needs and feedback to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing to drive new product development and ensure specifications meet regulatory and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Management, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Five or more years in product management, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors; experience with plastic conveyor belts in food, can making, and industrial markets is highly desirable.
  • Experience with strategic planning and contributing to long-term growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market positioning, and profitability analysis.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Able to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
