Job Description

Jocott Brands offers an on site Product Manager role in Van Nuys, CA focused on end-to-end development of assigned product categories from concept through launch. You will coordinate formulation, sourcing, and packaging while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products to market. Responsibilities

  • Own assigned product categories and manage the lifecycle from concept to launch
  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with customer needs, market trends, and company goals
  • Own end-to-end development timelines from initial brief through commercialization
  • Drive cross functional alignment across Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, Compliance, Purchasing, Operations, and Sales
  • Manage formulation development and approval processes with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop new products, improve existing ones, and ensure successful commercialization
  • Lead sourcing for formulations, packaging components, and product innovations
  • Develop and manage product costing to meet margin targets and financial objectives
  • Coordinate packaging development, artwork approvals, sample reviews, testing requirements, and launch readiness
  • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and critical path activities; identify and escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and aligned with launch objectives
  • Maintain Product Development trackers, project timelines, and status reporting across active projects
  • Analyze competitive products, consumer trends, and market opportunities to identify innovation and growth opportunities
  • Present product concepts, recommendations, and project updates to leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and strategic partners
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, product quality, and speed-to-market

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Product Development, Product Management, Brand Management, or related field
  • Experience within beauty, cosmetics, personal care, consumer products, or retail required
  • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Understanding of formulation development, product costing, sourcing, and commercialization processes
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms preferred
  • Experience working with off-price retailers is a plus
  • Beauty Industry experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Product development experience: 3 years (Required)
