Product Manager - Tool Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end process of bringing new products to market, from concept and market research through design, development, and successful launch.
- Align product development efforts with the company’s overall business strategy and financial goals.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, marketplace behavior, and competitive risks.
- Design and implement supply chain strategies for new products to ensure they are supply chain friendly and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with sourcing to identify and qualify suppliers for new components, managing sample development and qualification.
- Act as project manager for new product development projects, maintaining schedules to ensure timely execution and information delivery.
- Apply deep knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
- Analyze forecast and sales demand, implementing efficient inventory management to support company goals.
- Own product costing and BOM development, and strategically manage long-lead-time material inventory to support launches.
- Monitor KPIs related to product development and supply chain analytics, adjusting strategies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (supply chain, business, or engineering) plus 5+ years of supply chain experience.
- Tools and tool storage industry experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and production planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication abilities; experience with AutoCad and/or other design/engineering programs and/or proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle or Netsuite); experience in negotiation, project management, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of the full product lifecycle from ideation to commercialization, plus familiarity with market research and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of market research techniques and consumer behavior to identify unmet needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with emphasis on root-cause analysis and process optimization.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
