Product Operations Associate

New York, NY $85k - $105k/yr Full time Posted 1h ago

Job Description

Tennr is hiring a Product Operations Associate to take ownership of the day-to-day operating rhythm for one of its products. This hybrid role in New York, NY supports a growing product support team while helping translate customer signals into roadmap execution. You will also build repeatable operational systems so product, support, and engineering can move faster as volume increases.

What you’ll do

  • Prioritize and assign work, then close out each day with a clear view of what’s outstanding so nothing slips.
  • Train and support a growing team by answering first-pass questions and coaching on quality and turnaround as product volume expands.
  • Help customers scale by investigating codes, payers, and customer data across dashboards and spreadsheets to identify gaps Tennr may not be capturing.
  • Turn customer insights and data into roadmap progress by filing tickets for engineering and flagging priorities to align shipping order.
  • Step in for hands-on operational execution when needed, with no assumption that any task is beneath the role.
  • Build and document the playbook that captures how processes actually work, enabling the work to scale beyond any single person.

What you bring

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in management consulting, high-growth startups, healthcare operations, or finance.
  • A detail-oriented approach, with the habit of spotting small issues before they become real problems.
  • Comfort working in dashboards, spreadsheets, and imperfect or messy data.
  • Self-starter capability, using first-principles reasoning when encountering unfamiliar situations and working through problems without waiting to be told.
  • Calm, resourceful judgment during chaotic periods, keeping work moving without needing prompts.
  • Discretion and judgment while navigating payer portals and other systems.

Bonus

  • Background in healthcare, medicine, or public health.
  • Experience with prior authorization or payer-side operations.
  • Familiarity with medical billing (HCPCS/J-codes, ICD-10).
  • Exposure to structured data (JSON/FHIR) or tools like Linear.

Compensation and location

  • Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
  • Salary: USD 85,000 to 105,000 per year

Benefits

  • Beautiful office at 345 Hudson Street
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 100% paid employee health benefit options
  • Employer funded 401(k) match
  • Competitive parental leave

Why Tennr

  • Cowboy: a company value meaning you set the pace, get work done, and feel the impact.
  • Develop operational expertise by learning how payer operations and a scaling product work from the inside.
  • Innovate with purpose as part of a high-caliber team focused on reducing patient delays across the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Build relationships with driven people in the Hudson Square office with 4 days/week in-office.
  • Free lunch and a pantry full of snacks.
