Product Operations Lead
Job Description
Own the operating cadence that keeps a Series A consumer AI product shipping fast and coordinated across Product, Design, and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Run the product operating system, including sprint planning across Product, Engineering, and Design
- Own the backlog as a living artifact that stays current and usable for execution
- Lead release coordination, including QA readiness, launch checklists, and cross-team communication
- Identify coordination gaps, unclear ownership, and bottlenecks early to prevent avoidable cost and delays
- Own support operations: intake, routing, resolution, and translating recurring signals into Product and Engineering inputs
- Use AI to reduce administrative load and create lightweight automations that increase team throughput
- Continuously simplify processes with a bias toward reliability over ceremony
Requirements
- 3–7 years in product, project, or technical program management for a software product, with demonstrated execution and operational rigor
- Hands-on exposure across the full software development lifecycle: sprints, backlog, releases, and QA
- Comfort working directly with engineers in a software development environment
- Owned product-ops or release process end-to-end, including building one from scratch and diagnosing when an existing process is broken
- Experience in an early-stage startup setting (Seed to Series C)
- Strong communicator and facilitator: runs meetings, documents decisions, and closes loops
- Ability to work in person daily in the New York City office

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $100,000–$180,000 per year + equity
- Visa sponsorship: Available, including transfers

- Consumer or B2B2C background with deep operational complexity (for example: trust and safety, payments, moderation, or multi-stakeholder coordination)
- Experience operating across multiple company stages, from small teams to scale
